Full Time Paraprofessional
This full-time paraprofessional position supports elementary classrooms within our 4-day school week structure. The paraprofessional works closely with classroom teachers and staff to provide instructional, behavioral, and organizational support to students in both whole-group and small-group settings.
Key Responsibilities

Support classroom instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher

Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning

Assist with classroom organization, materials, and daily routines

Support students’ social-emotional growth and positive behavior

Provide supervision during transitions, recess, lunch, and other activities as needed

Foster a safe, caring, and respectful classroom environment

Communicate effectively with teachers and staff as part of a collaborative team
Qualifications

.25 Social Worker/SEL Teacher
Position Overview
This .25 FTE position supports students through direct social-emotional instruction, small-group work, and individual support within our 4-day school week structure. The School Social Worker / SEL Teacher collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being, resilience, and positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities

Provide SEL instruction aligned with Christian values and age-appropriate developmental needs

Work with individual students and small groups to support social, emotional, and behavioral growth

Collaborate with teachers to support classroom-based SEL practices
-
Assist in developing and implementing student support plans as needed
-
Communicate and partner with families regarding student support and progress
-
Support a positive, safe, and caring school environment
-
Serve as a resource for staff regarding student well-being and social-emotional development
Qualifications
-
Commitment to Christian education and a heart for supporting student well-being
-
Degree or training in social work, counseling, education, or a related field
-
School social work or SEL experience preferred
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families

Meets or is willing to meet state requirements for school social work or SEL instruction

This hourly, 3-day a week position supports the preschool classroom on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The aide works closely with classroom teachers and staff to provide instructional, behavioral, and organizational support to students in both whole-group and small-group settings.

Substitute Teacher
To become a substitute teacher at an Ireton Christian School, individuals must hold or obtain a valid Iowa Substitute Authorization or Teaching License through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. ICS also seeks individuals who demonstrate a personal commitment to faith and align with the school’s mission of Christ-centered education.
